Blood cannot be manufactured on demand. It depends on people who are willing to donate when they are healthy and eligible. During emergencies, the challenge is often finding the right donor quickly enough.
SOS Foundation's blood-support work is based on volunteer coordination: receiving requests, understanding the blood requirement, identifying available donors or community contacts, connecting the parties and following up where possible.
The service network has attended approximately 20,000 emergency blood requests and successfully organised support in approximately 18,000 cases, across a multi-state volunteer network.
Donor availability can depend on eligibility, health, location, timing, blood group and hospital requirements. SOS does not guarantee that every registered donor will be contacted or able to donate for every request.

Patient identity and medical details should be shared only to the extent necessary for responsible coordination.
Every verified donor can strengthen the network for someone else's emergency.
